Dad you are the best role model I could have as a father. I called you this morning to wish you a “Happy Father’s Day” and I interrupted your Bible reading. I remember as a kid all the times I interrupted your Bible reading and you always made time for me.
Dad, thank you for loving me even when I was hard to love! When I did stupid things, you were always there with your fatherly love and advice.
Dad, thank you for teaching me to work hard. You taught me to always give my best no matter what I was doing. You taught me to work hard to support my family. I work hard now because of my name, I don’t want to let you down.
Dad, thank you for teaching me to respect authority. You taught me to respect authority whether it was you or mom, or the school teacher, or the preacher. A saying that you taught me, I still remember “Respect the position, whether or not you respect the person in the position.”
Dad, thank you for teaching me how to love my family. I know you love mom and us kids and if you could ever do anything for us, you would. I hope I can love my family like you loved us.
Dad, most of all, thank you for teaching me to love Christ, love the Bible and love church. You taught me that the Christian life is the best life, no matter how hard it gets. Thank you for being faithful to Christ even when it was hard.
Dad, I hope I can be half the man you are! I love you so much! Happy Fathers Day!
Your son, Bub
It was nice being able to spend time with my parents this weekend. The older I get, the more I enjoy being around them. I enjoy that they are the same people now that they were when I was a kid growing up. They still put God first. They still love each other. They still work hard. They still love serving God. Everything I am today, is because my parents invested into me as a child and they taught me to live my life with the Bible as my guide.
I love you Dad and Mom!
I want to take a moment and say thank you to my mother for all that she has done for me throughout life. She taught me many valuable lessons throughout life that I am thankful for. I had the privilege and opportunity to grow up in a Christian home with Christian parents who loved me and wanted to see me turn out right. I know my mom spent many hours throughout the years in prayer for me, and I know she still prays for me! And for that I am thankful! Thank you mom for teaching me to love, how to work hard and how to be faithful. You gave me an example of what to look for in a wife and that is truly the greatest lesson you taught me. I love you mom!
To my wife, thank you for being a wonderful mother to our two girls. I watch you and see the love you have for them and the joy you have of being their mommy. You care for them and only want the best for them. I know they get on your nerves and drive you up the wall everyday but I know deep down you really do love them. Thank you for changing their diapers and making sure they are clean. Thank you for making sure they always look cute before we ever go out. Thank you for teaching them to love their daddy. Thank you for all that you do for them! I know they love you and I love you so much!
Happy Mother’s Day!
